Collagen Biostimulators, firmness and skin quality built over time

Biostimulators encourage the skin to produce its own collagen, progressively improving firmness, quality and support. Instead of relying only on the injected product, results are built by the body itself, progressively and naturally. Some products can also restore support and volume in selected areas. They are an excellent option for those seeking to prevent or treat laxity with natural, lasting results. Not all biostimulators do the same thing. Some prioritise the gradual production of collagen, while others also provide immediate support or a more marked improvement in hydration and skin quality. The choice depends on each person’s anatomy, age and objective. During the consultation, we select the most suitable product for each objective and each phase of ageing.

It may be for you if...

  • You notice that your skin has lost firmness and elasticity.
  • You want to improve skin quality without changing your features.
  • You are looking for gradual, discreet and natural rejuvenation.
  • You want to prevent laxity before it becomes more evident.
  • You notice loss of definition in the facial contour.
  • You would also like to improve areas such as the neck or body, including the arms, abdomen or buttocks.

The options (the indication is defined in consultation)

Sculptra® (poly-L-lactic acid, PLLA) The classic biostimulator. Poly-L-lactic acid progressively stimulates collagen production, restoring the skin’s support structure. It is indicated when the objective is to improve firmness and density and restore lost volume very gradually and naturally. Results build over several months.

Facetem® (calcium hydroxyapatite, CaHA) A biostimulator based on calcium hydroxyapatite, a mineral naturally present in the body. It combines an immediate support effect with medium-term collagen stimulation, making it an excellent option for redefining contours, improving firmness and restoring facial structure without losing naturalness.

In addition to classic biostimulators, we also use Profhilo® and Profhilo Structura®, bioremodellers that improve skin quality through a different mechanism.

Profhilo® (stabilised hyaluronic acid) It is neither a filler nor a classic biostimulator. Its high concentration of hyaluronic acid improves deep hydration, elasticity and overall skin quality, providing a diffuse effect of luminosity and firmness without changing volumes or contours.

Profhilo Structura® (stabilised hyaluronic acid) An evolution of Profhilo®, developed to remodel the superficial adipose tissue of the face. In addition to improving skin quality, it provides greater structural support in faces with ageing-related volume loss, while maintaining a subtle, natural result.

Frequently asked questions

How is it different from a hyaluronic acid filler?

Hyaluronic acid replaces or creates volume in a specific area. Biostimulators encourage natural collagen production to improve firmness and skin quality. The two treatments often complement each other.

When will I see results?

This is a treatment that builds over time. The first improvements usually begin to appear between 4 and 6 weeks, with progressive development over about 3 months.

Do the results look natural?

Yes. Because the body itself produces new collagen, improvement happens gradually. The objective is not to change your face, but to help you age with better skin quality.
