Massage Therapy & Pressotherapy, caring for the body is also part of the journey

The body also accumulates what life brings: stress, muscle tension, fluid retention, fatigue or physical discomfort. At The Journey MedSpa, we bring together different approaches, from massage therapy and manual lymphatic drainage to pressotherapy, to promote wellbeing, relieve symptoms and support recovery, always through a plan adapted to each person’s needs.

Massage therapy and pressotherapy

Massage Therapy brings together different manual techniques, including relaxation, therapeutic and Deep Tissue massage, as well as Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder Method), selected according to each person’s needs and objectives.

Pressotherapy uses sequential compression chambers to stimulate venous return and the lymphatic system. It complements manual lymphatic drainage and helps reduce fluid retention, relieve the sensation of heavy legs and support recovery protocols and body treatments. It may be performed on its own or integrated into personalised plans.

Each need calls for a different approach

Relaxation Massage, when you simply need to switch off and recover your energy.

Deep Tissue Massage, for deep muscle tension caused by work, training or posture.

Therapeutic Massage, aimed at specific complaints such as neck pain, lower back pain or muscle knots.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder Method), indicated for fluid retention, heavy legs, post-operative recovery and as a complement to body treatments.

Pressotherapy, mechanical drainage that stimulates venous and lymphatic circulation, ideal for fluid retention, the sensation of heavy legs and as a complement to body programmes.

Because feeling well is also part of the journey

At The Journey MedSpa, we believe wellbeing does not end with medical treatments. Relieving tension, recovering energy, improving circulation or simply setting aside time to care for yourself is part of an integrated approach to health and quality of life.

Frequently asked questions

Are manual lymphatic drainage and pressotherapy the same?

No. Although both stimulate the lymphatic system, manual lymphatic drainage is performed by the therapist using a specific technique, while pressotherapy uses sequential compression equipment. In many cases, they can complement one another.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on the objective. A relaxation massage may be occasional, while drainage or pressotherapy protocols are often performed over several sessions. Frequency is adapted to your needs.
